5th Grade Future Bulldog Encore Selection- Due 2/12

Reported by on 1/15/21

Dear Parents and Fifth Grade Students & Future Bulldogs,

It's hard to believe we are already planning for the 2021-2022 school year. Earlier this month we visited each elementary school virtually to discuss the encore options with students. This is a very exciting time of year as we begin to think about your child’s transition to middle school.

Now that you children have heard about the Middle School options and you have had the chance to hear from our music staff at the Prelude meeting earlier this week, it is time to select your child’s middle school option online. Middle School is an exciting time— it begins the transition between the single elementary classroom structure to individual courses and departments of the high school. The staff at Still Middle School can't wait to share in this journey with you.

Below is a website that will help parents and students navigate the online selection process. The timing of submission does not have an impact on your child’s encore course availability. Please know that your child is assured of getting the option of their choosing. All 6th grade students will take Essential Technology which is a semester class and Physical Education/Health combination to make a required, full year course. Parents and students should discuss the options and choose the best option for each student. Students should realize they are making a yearlong commitment to the option chosen. It is necessary to make the decision at this time so the proper number of classes can be offered and staffing can be appropriated. Registration is due on February 12th.

If you have any questions after viewing the website, please complete the contact us form on the website and we will get back to you or join us as Still Middle School will be hosting a Q & A Zoom on January 20th & 21st from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
