Business Partnerships
The mission of the Indian Prairie Business & Education program is to
enhance the quality of education in District 204 by integrating the human and
technological resources available within the community.
At White Eagle Elementary School, our business partners play an active
role encouraging and enhancing student learning. Some examples of their involvement
include presenting lessons in classrooms, providing materials for math and science units,
assisting in the development of our use of technology, and a favorite of the
students--providing rewards for student achievement.
Active involvement focused on student learning is the primary goal of the White Eagle
School-Business Partnerships program.

Treemendous Landscape Company has been a partner since White Eagle
opened in 1995. Treemendous has provided materials to second grade for science units and
to first grade for their space program. Treemendous provided transportation of the gifts
in the Angel Tree project last December. This fall, Treemendous begins the construction of
the new outdoor learning center at White Eagle school. Visit Treemendous at

North Central College joined White Eagle as a partner during the 1996-97
school year. Students from North Central complete classroom practicums here at White
Eagle. Through those practicums, North Central students provide extra help to many of our
students, enriching the learning environment. This year, NCC has provided activity
passes to students and staff, allowing them and their families to attend theatrical and
sporting events at the college.

| Jewel/Osco
has been a partner since March of 1999. They provide us with bags
for our Book Fairs, provide treats for various functions, and cater
our annual Volunteer Luncheon. This past fall, they provided us with
about 200 books that we put in our LMC or use as Accelerated Reader
prizes. |
