Fall Book Fair News

Dear Parents,

White Eagle’s first Book Fair for the year is coming! It will be held in the LMC from            Wednesday, Oct. 22^nd to Thursday, Oct. 30^th. Here’s what you need to know…

1. Preview days for students will be Thursday, Oct. 23^rd – Friday, Oct. 24^th. All students in first – fifth grades will fill out a "Wish List" listing the books they would like. Please look for these "Wish Lists" to come home. They will be helpful when searching for the books your child is interested in. It is also extremely helpful to have them with you as you are browsing at the Book Fair.  Kindergarten will come for a preview time but will not fill out a Wish List. 2. Students may come alone to shop during school hours from Monday October 27^th – Thursday, October 30^th. If you send money with your child, please make sure all money is in a sealed envelope and be sure to include extra money for tax. 
3. If you send a check, please make sure it is made out to White Eagle Elementary School. 
4. Parents, feel free to shop alone during the day, but please be aware that your student will be unable to join you at this time. If you want to shop with your child, come visit us at our afterschool hours.  Please see below for a complete list of book fair times and dates. You can also shop online at www.abcfairs.com.  Be sure to put White Eagle School when checking out!
5. Remember to factor in taxes when you send money with your child. A tax rate table is copied on the back of this page. 
6. In response to parent requests, “Teacher Wish Lists” will be available. There will be a display near the entrance of the book fair with books teachers have requested for their classroom. If parents or students wish to purchase a book for their teacher, simply take a book title from the display and give it to the cashier. A special sticker will be placed in all “Teacher Wish List” books to say thank you for supporting reading in the classroom.
7. The book fair schedule is:

• Monday, Oct. 27^th from 9:15 am – 3:10 pm and 4:00 - 5:00 pm
• Tuesday, Oct. 28^th from 9:15 am – 3:10 pm
• Wednesday, Oct. 29^th from 9:30 am – 3:10 pm and 4:00 - 5:00 pm
• Thursday, Oct. 30^th from 9:15 am – 3:15 pm and 4:00 – 6:00 pm (last night to shop)
